FAA Renewal
For those of you who are coming up on their FAA Registration renewal process, the FAA changed things slightly back in 2022 and now want an aircraft of some sort attached to the registration.
The AMA created a great article for the process, and they walk through, step by step, how to sign up and renew your FAA Registration all in one, at: https://amablog.modelaircraft.org/amagov/2022/08/09/update-to-the-faa-dronezone-and-registration-renewal-process/
Make sure you read through the process completely BEFORE you start, as you may need to skip certain steps if you are RENEWING your registration!!!

Flying Field
We have a 600'x40' asphalt runway, four separate helicopter pads, a pit area with tables and chairs, toilet facilities, plenty of parking, and an RV parking area (no facilities).
Johnson Field is located on about 70 acres on the Northeast corner of the intersection of I-15 and State Highway 76. We are about 16 miles North of Escondido on I-15. From I-15, take Highway 76 East towards Pala less than 1/2 mile and turn North on Pankey Rd. Enter the Palomar Flying site through the green gate. On weekdays, members must have a key to unlock the gate. The gate is open on weekends and holidays from about 8am to 1pm or when events are scheduled. The public is welcome to come and visit us during those hours. If you are interested in joining, come out anytime – mornings are the most active period. We have separate flying sites on the property devoted to RC airplanes and RC helicopters.

November
2024
Hello and welcome to November. Thanksgiving and Christmas are just around the corner! Wow!
A few things to discuss and advise. As stated at the October general meeting, we have some Important
topics to discus and to ask for input from membership.
ELECTIONS: Most importantly, we have begun our general election cycle for Executive and Board of Di-
rectors. The board meets once a month via zoom and lasts about an hour. The Board discusses general
operation, finances and safety issues as directed by the Clubs Bylaws. Those positions are important for
the future of our club.
These positions are for the executive board: president, vice-president, treasurer, and secretary. Patrick
Pranica has decided NOT to continue as our secretary. We will miss his input and thoroughness. All po-
sitions are available!
If you are considering running for a board position, please contact Don Davis to add your name to the
ledger for the upcoming ballot.
